Welcome Words and Introduction of the Topics

ENGSO Accessibility GuidelineS – Development and Implementation 

 

EWS Committee member Sarah Townsend will present the new ENGSO Accessibility Guidelines and explained the creation process, the reasons for its development, and the practical implications of its content. Sarah will also share key learnings and best practices from its initial implementation during the ENGSO General Assembly, in collaboration with Sport Austria.

 

EWS Committee member Rejhan Halili will then discuss how the guidelines will be implemented at ENGSO’s upcoming event, the European Sport Platform. Rejhan will highlight what aspects are easy to adjust and implement, as well as the challenges encountered in the process.

 

Accessibility with Different Groups

 

Experiences of the accessibility at the Paralympics in Paris, presented by Georgios Kapellakis, Paralympian and President of the Hellenic Paralympic Committee 
 

LGBTIQA+ community, presented by Conny-Hendrik Schälicke, Board Member, Seitenwechsel Sportverein für FrauenLesbenTrans*Inter und Mädchen e.V.

Women in leadership positions in sport, presented by Andreja McQuarrie, expert on organisation of major multi-sport events, member of Commissions for European and International Cooperation, and Commission for Gender Equality at Slovenian National Olympic Committee, vice president of the Commission for Women’s Football at the Slovenian National Football Association, Olympian in alpine skiing (Sarajevo 1984).
