Sport as Value partners meet in Montenegro for a meeting & joint action on Olympic Day
With sports values, we strengthen society – together.
The meeting and the joint action of the Sports as Value (SAV) project consortium took place in Podgorica, Montenegro, on 24 June 2024 - the Olympic Day.
The first part of the day was dedicated to the project’s progress: partners discussed previous activities and planned next steps of the project, such as dissemination of the results and the final conference. The final conference will be organised on 21 November 2024 as part of European Sport Platform 2024 in Pristina, Kosovo.
The joint action by National Olympic Committee (NOC) Montenegro was organised in the afternoon of the “Olympic Day”. The NOC used the occasion of the Olympic day to organise an event with children in collaboration with UNHCR and local clubs. The event included tournaments to unite local children and children from refugee backgrounds and corners to promote sport values through interactive activities.
SAV project is a capacity building project for organisations and sports professionals in Balkan grassroots sport movement.
We hope to create sustainable, long-lasting partnerships in the Balkan region, with skilled and knowledgeable organisers who will successfully promote the positive impact of grassroots sports and the values in sports which will result in stronger, more peaceful and more connected societies.
