Open Call for hosting “European Summit on Gender Equality and Diversity in Sport”

The objective of the call is to select a hosting organization who will be in charge of organizing together with ENGSO the European Summit on Gender Equality and Diversity in Sport. An event with 20 participants representing different European stakeholders related to equality in EU with the objective of coordinating the efforts in Europe on gender equality and diversity in sport focusing on the implementation of the EU strategies on LGBTQI+ and gender equality. 

European Summit on Gender Equality and Diversity in Sport will aim to coordinate the efforts of the main stakeholders in advancing gender equality and diversity in sport in Europe.

The activities to be covered as hosting organisation are:

  • Event venue selection,
  • Event coordination and organization,
  • Communication and promotional activities,
  • Participants invitation and welcoming

 

Eligibility criteria

 

The hosting organisation must be an EU ENGSO members. 

 

The awarded member should be able to demonstrate:

  • Capacity to reach out to European, national and local stakeholders working on equality in sport, including public and private organisations,
  • Capacity in reaching relevant communication and dissemination channels;
  • Capacity to organize the event in an accessible venue in one of the EU member country in 2024;
  • Capacity of managing the communication around the event effectively
  • Availability of drafting a final report computed in collaboration with the referent person from ENGSO
  • Capacity include a gender perspective in their proposal (analyse and description of the different needs of different genders and demonstration of how they will be addressed during the event).

 

The awarded member should be able to provide:

  • One room for about 20 persons for two days
  • A beamer and a screen, and at least one flip chart.
  • A photographer for at least 1 group photo or photos in between.
  • Lunches and dinners for 20 persons
  • Accommodation (next to the meeting room) with 20 single rooms
  • Travel for 20 participants from EU countries
  • Local transportation
  • One cultural/leisure/sport activities
  • The event should happen in the first semester of 2024.
 
To organize the European Summit there will be a contribution of a lump sum of 9.000 euro.
 
The call will remain open for two months, the first application that fulfill all the criteria and will be selected.
