Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in partnerships with Montenegrin Olympic Committee, hosts Sports As Value joint action
With sports values, we strengthen society – together.
The Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in partnerships with Montenegrin Olympic Committee, hosted a joint action as part of the Erasmus+ project Sports as Value. The project aims to integrate positive values into sports practice and build stronger communities through sports and promotion of EU values. The activity was hosted on 30 May 2024.
As part of the EU funded project Sports as Value, Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina, together with partners from the Montenegrin Olympic Committee, implemented a joint action – the Olympic day.
Over 100 children attended the Olympic day and tried their hand at 9 grassroots sports: basketball, handball, karate, football, volleyball, golf, archery, table tennis and badminton.
The coaches taught the children basic Olympic and sports values: excellence, friendship, respect, solidarity, inclusion, fair play, entertainment, tolerance, equality, teamwork, freedom and education.
This event contributes to raising awareness of the importance of sports values and their integration, i.e. increasing the capacity of the involved participants, and supporting a sense of cooperation and togetherness as fundamental premises for further cooperation.
We would like to thank the President and General Secretary of the Montenegrin Olympic Committee for the truly successful implementation of the joint action and promotion of Olympic and sports values.
