Kosovo Olympic Committee, in co-op with Albanian National Olympic Committee, welcomes 300 school children to the Sport as Value event
On September 20, 2024, Kosovo Olympic Committee, in cooperation with the Albanian National Olympic Committee, organised a joint action entitled "Tirana and Prishtina: European Cities of Sports".
300 school children joined the event and tested their skills through a friendly 3×3 basketball match.
In his welcoming speech, NOC Kosovo President Ismet Krasniqi spoke about the importance of implementing Erasmus+ Sport projects and encourage children to play sports and engage in physical activity.
The main activity of the event was a friendly match in 3×3 basketball between representatives of the Kosovo Olympic Committee and the Kosovo Basketball Federation which also promoted the Olympic and European values. 3×3 match was followed by a mini-tournament in classic basketball between four elementary schools.
The event was organised within the framework of the European Week of Sport and Erasmus+ Sport project which aims to integrate and promote sport and EU values within grassroots sport and build a stronger communities using sport as a tool.
