On February 15th and 16th the Sustainable Sport Management project participant organisations will be present and will support the development of a workshop in Monaco, about Sustainability strategies in sport.
Sport organisations have been making concerted efforts to address the environmental dimension of sustainability, but very little is still known about what they do to tackle the social, economical and institutional dimension as promoted by the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. Thanks to the workshop, hosted by World Athletics and in collaboration with the International University of Monaco, partners will explore these aspects more in depth and the participants will have the chance to discuss with academics and practitioners in the field.
It will be possible to participate online and onsite, upon registration via the following links:
Project partners include the universities of KU Leuven (Belgium), Brunel London (UK), JAMK (Finland), Malmoe (Sweden), Drexel (USA) and the European Association for Sport Management (EASM). Project’s industry partners include the World Athletics, the International Federation of Match Poker (e-sport) and The European Non Governmental Sport Organisation (ENGSO).
