The 38th International University Sports Federation (FISU) General Assembly took place on 17-18 November 2023 in Geneva, Switzerland. ENGSO President Stefan Bergh participated in the assembly as the Emeritus Honorary member of FISU, and Lovisa Broms, ENGSO Project Manager, took part in the event as a board member of the Swedish University Sport Federation.
The highlight of the 38th General Assembly was the election of Mr Leonz Eder as FISU President. Mr Eder will be joined by the newly elected Executive Committee which consists of:

On behalf of ENGSO, we would like to congratulate the newly elected FISU President, Vice Presidents (three out of four seats were won by women) and the Executive Committee.
Besides the elections, the programme of the FISU General Assembly included presentations of past events and the introduction of the upcoming FISU programme which includes the winter and summer editions of Torino 2025 and Rhine-Ruhr 2025, followed by Chungcheong 2027 and North Carolina 2029.
During the event, it was also mentioned that, besides gender equality, sustainability is one of the main themes that the federation will work on in the coming years.
