ENGSO joins the opening and celebration of the European Week of Sport 10th anniversary

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the European Week of Sport and the #BeActive campaign. Since 2015, the Week has inspired millions of Europeans to discover the physical, mental, and social benefits of sport and physical activity. Over the past decade, it has grown into a powerful movement promoting healthier, more active lifestyles across Europe.

In 2025, the European Week of Sport will mark its 10th anniversary by celebrating a decade of impact, promoting healthier digital habits, and inspiring everyone to #BeActive. This year’s priorities are:

  • BeActive: encouraging physical activity to boost health, wellbeing, and overall happiness.
  • Move more, scroll less: tackling excessive screen time, especially among young people.
  • Celebrating 10 years of the European Week of Sport and its achievements.

ENGSO and ENGSO Youth have been celebrating since the beginning of September through a variety of ongoing projects, including:

  • Promoting EU sport and youth policy through EUYOUSPORT workshops, with the September edition taking place in Rome, Italy at the homebase of ENGSO member OPES.
  • Supporting Europeans in staying active while embracing sustainability through Move4Nature actions in several countries, including Kosovo, France, Germany, Italy, Slovenia, and Romania.
  • Hosting an online seminar on diversity in coaching as part of the A Fairer Coaching project.
  • Showcasing ENGSO members OPES activities at the Barcelona Dance Experience festival.
