ENGSO joins the in-person consultation on the revision of the Erasmus + and European Solidarity Corps Inclusion and Diversity Strategy

On 24 September 2026, ENGSO project coordinator Ophelie Delobel attended an in-person consultation on the revision of the Erasmus + and European Solidarity Corps Inclusion and Diversity Strategy, held in Brussels and organized by DG EAC – Directorate General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture of the European Commission. The meeting focused on revising the strategy for the post-2027 period, aiming to make the programmes more accessible, fair, and representative, especially for people with fewer opportunities.

The consultation adopted an interactive and collaborative format, combining plenary discussions with dynamic World Café-style workshops to foster in-depth exchanges. Around the table, 15 civil society organisations from diverse sectors, including higher education, vocational training, youth work, disability advocacy, and sport joined forces from SALTO Inclusion & Diversity Resource Centres.

By contributing to this process, ENGSO reinforced its role in ensuring that the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps programmes align with the principles of equality, inclusiveness, and accessibility, fostering social cohesion and active citizenship through sport. The insights shared will help strengthen and adapt the strategy, empowering organisations to design quality projects that actively address inclusion and diversity, involving participants with fewer opportunities and grassroots organisations.
