ENGSO ExCom hold a meeting in Lisbon, hosted by Sports Confederation of Portugal
From 9–10 April 2026, the ENGSO Executive Committee gathered in Lisbon, Portugal, under the leadership of ENGSO President Stefan Bergh. The meeting was hosted by ENGSO member, the Sports Confederation of Portugal (CDP), and included a joint meeting with ENGSO Youth.
The ExCom meetings are meant to monitor, discuss and lead the day to day operations of the ENGSO Network. In this meeting, the ENGSO Action plan 2026-27 was approved as well as ENGSO’s Advocacy Plan which was recently finalised by the EU Advisory Committee.
The occasion also provided an opportunity for an informal exchange with Pedro Dias, State Secretary of Sport in Portugal, and Duarte Lopes, Chief of Staff to the Secretary of State for Sport.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to ENGSO Honorary President Carlos Cardoso, ENGSO Vice President Filipa Godinho, the Board members of the Sports Confederation of Portugal—Gonçalo Saldanha, Eugénio Almeida, and António Branco—as well as Secretary General Carlos Dias Ferreira, for their warm welcome and inspiring hospitality.
Next up for the ENGSO Executive Committee is the ENGSO General Assembly which will take place in Budapest, Hungary, on 22-24 May 2026, and will be hosted by ENGSO member Hungarian Competitive Sport Federation.
