On August 25th/26th, in Vilnius, Lietuvos Sporto Federaciju Sajunga (LSFS) will host the first transnational meeting foreseen in the calendar of the project YIAP.

The kickoff meeting will officially start the work and the activities of this partnership composed by 8 organizations at different levels: regional, national and international.

Under the coordination of Swedish Sports Confederation (RF), ENGSO, EUSA Institute, RF-SISU Smaland, SO Euroasia Foundation, Confederacao Do Desporto de Portugal, LSFS and Organizzazione per l’Educazione e lo Sport (OPES) will join forces to educate and empower young people, volunteers and athletes to become sport integrity ambassadors in their own community, fostering their active participation as well as a culture of integrity across Europe. YIAP will be furtherly joined by European Lotteries, supporting the partnership with its extensive experience in working with the topic, in the sport field.

Through the implementation of the project, the partners aim to contribute to the strengthening of both the EU Work Plan for Sport 2021-2024, by initiating a positive change in the sport sector, and the EU Youth Strategy 2021-2027, by providing more participatory spaces for young people within it.

In order to do so, an educational program will be created, with the main objective of equipping youth with project management skills, digital tools, and values such as democracy, equality and fairness to become active and responsible citizens. The Youth Integrity Ambassadors Toolkit, along with the European Training Course that will be held at the beginning of 2023, will allow them to take a more active role in their society, specifically in the sport field at all levels, and to spread and disseminate this culture of integrity.

The results of the project will be a first step towards a new, wide and solid European network, and will therefore remain freely accessible even after the project lifetime.
